The Iberoamerican Textile Network is a Fact, join it
All those interested in the Textile Culture and its creation from any country in Ibero - America, artists, artisans, designers, researchers, historians, curators, museum specialists, galerists, Museums and /or cultural agents who support events of Textile Art are welcome to join this network.
On September 2006, while the IV International Biennial of Textile Art and Design, organized by the Organization of Women in Textile Art, the Costa Rica - Northamerican Cultural Center and the Spanish Cultural Center, was being held in Costa Rica, the Iberoamerican Textile Network was founded. It is an Association created by Textile Artists and people involved with Textile Culture of various countries of Iberoamerica, but people from all over the world are welcome to join.
Different strategies of communication are being developed in the Network so that its members can get the most out of the leading events of textile world. The Network will also support the organization of seminars, conferences and other activities that allow and promote the interchange of knowledge and experiences.
Among the strategies there is an electronic bulletin, which will inform as to the events of the moment and important publications as well as information on current engrossing topics. This publication will be sent to each member on a regular basis.
Its website will contain insight of informative as well as promotional character, up-dated according to the needs and interests of the Iberoamerican Textile Network agenda and on a daily basis.
Iberoamerica has a rich Textile background on an ancient and contemporary level. The time has come to take advantage of its enormous potential and to give it the attention it clearly deserves.
Take advantage of this opportunity today!
